Historic Charleston

Charleston is the oldest and second-largest city in the southeastern. Known for its rich history, well-preserved architecture, distinguished restaurants, and mannerly people, Charleston has received a large number of accolades, including "America's Most Friendly City"

 Rainbow Row, 13 houses along East Bay Street were—from the Colonial period until the early 20th century—a commercial center of the town.

The Pink House, the oldest stone building in Charleston, was built of Bermudian limestone at some time between 1694 and 1712.

We drove to Myrtle Beach, walked the beach and found these great looking houses.

Georgetown

Anchor Wreck" to be the remains of the freighter Leif Eriksson.  The Eriksson was a Norwegian steamer built in 1889.  The 2,218 ton vessel was 274.5 feet in length and 38 feet in breadth.  The Leif Eriksson was bound from Matanzas, Cuba, with a cargo of sugar for Philadelphia when she sunk following a collision with the steamer City of Everett in February 1905 off Bull's Bay, just north of Charleston.
