Today was our Swamp Tour, the highlight of our trip, well besides the French Quarter.  We saw lots of gators, a few big snakes laid out on tree branches, one owl, and lots of turtles....So peaceful, and calm.  It's a whole different world out there, but so close to freeways and civilization.... Ron lives 5 minutes from this place..
Anybody up to having a vacation place in the bayou ????  folks actually live in these places...no thanks

Then off to Fontainebleau State Park on Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville

 

We also stopped to visit Sunny, who had a wonderful view out her back door.....love those big oak trees

Dinner at "The Chimes", known for all their beers..... I tasted 7 local ones, liked them all.  bayou swamp out their back door with walking docks.
